And yesterday they were finished. Me putting the final details on Santa's face and the reindeer's eyes, were the last step. And voila!!!!!
Latah Daze!!
Smile #1 I was walking home the other day, and came face to face with a GIGANTIC Alf!! Seriously, how could you not smile at this!!! I used to loooove this tv show as a kid. And... I will gladly admit, I still have an Alf doll currently sitting beside my window. It's the only stuffed animal I still keep out in plain site. Cause he kicks ass. And is better then your Care Bear anyday!! So there :P
Smile #2 Anyone who knows me, knows I tend to have blonde moments. Yes I am a blonde. For a brief moment in time, I tried to fool everyone. First with red, then with brown. The brown was mostly to cover up the horrible red/bleach dye job that I was attempting to get my normal hair colour back with. Ya ya. Laugh it up. So it's my friend Ryan's birthday. And after a few beer, a glass of wine and some awesome sliders... no no not the TV SHOW, but those tiny delicious style burgers/chicken/tuna, we all decided to break up into teams and play some crainium. So it's my team's turn and we pic drawing and they give it to me because I like to think I can draw. Most days I can. Reading however seems to not be my strong suit. As I was handed my clue/picture I had to draw I began to create a masterpiece!! My teamates were calling out names and animals and things and they were so close!! Untill I hear Ryan break my creative concentration with the words "did I read the same card??" to which I looked up then looked at the card. Apparently, I read the card's title. To which was Creative Cat. Yes.. I was drawing a creative cat. I glanced down to the bottom of the card and saw in tiny little letters "COLD TURKEY"..... "But creative cat was in the speech bubble and it was right there and I totally....." ya i couldn't talk my way out of this stupid one... BLONDE!! Atleast the whole table got a nice looooong laugh outta it.
Smile #3 I went drinking with my two buds Rondeau and Seb. Looooong overdue I believe. Beer, dancing, and mom jokes all in one! How come we don't do it more often. Ohhh ya. We're adults now. With lives, and babies, and houses and better things to spend money on and work the next morning. Damn growing up. Anyways I went pee and saw this picture on the bathroom stall. I think someone needed either a) more alcohol b) better friends or c) try harder to not be emo. You decide.
Smile #5 Big Sugar and Wide Mouth Mason.

I'm strolling through the countries and nothing is really catching my eye. I haven't had a good Zinfandel in awhile... so should I try one from the LCBO vintage selection?? Naw.. so.. I go back towards Spain. And I see this one. It's called TILIA. Looks good, cheap enough. Aight I'm sold.

It's Ribfest in Ottawa. That's right!!! Step out your front door if you live anywhere near the downtown area and take a deeeeeeeep breath. And smell the gloriousness of bbq ribs and chicken and pulled pork. No don't just smell. Go have some!!
So I met my sister at her work, we trucked over, in the rain too I might add, to Sparks street, and there we began the day ol' debate on which Ribtruck/stand do we try. Since my sister had never experienced this before, I wanted to make sure we settled on a kick ass truck with some amazing ribs. We walked back and forth a few times, but after close inspection (ok really I just watched to see how much sauce they put on the ribs) I decided we would go to Bibbs. I usually get the pulled pork, so that was my choice. And Lisa got a half rack. Then we sat under an umbrella at 73 North's patio and paired it with a beer. And after Lisa's first bite, she now understood the awesomeness of Ribfest. I will be dragging her with me next year!!
I've never tried chicken bacon before. Ok wait.. the correct term is chicken breakfast strips, not chicken bacon. But same thing right?? I dunno. So I decided to try some, as I've had some in my freezer for alittle while now. And I was craving something breakfasty that wasn't too filling (ie. pancakes). So I began cooking them up. They looked a little different. They smelled the same though. So I cooked up some eggs as well, and cut up some fruit and voila!!! Breakfast for lunch time!!!
So, it's warm out, and this is the view of my world right now :D
